Return to Summer Camp at Kemps Kamp

Ready to head into the great outdoors and breath in the fresh ponderosa pine scented air every morning? There’s one Keystone lodging spot you need to know about: Kemp’s Kamp.

If your family enjoys camping, you’ll find every variety possible at Kemp’s Kamp. They offer everything from basic tent spots with a simple grill and picnic table to pull-through RV sites complete with water, electric, and satellite TV. They even have a couple pop-up campers you can rent if you like to camp but don’t want to pull your own trailer. Many of the sites also have a permanent covered shelter, so you can rest assured that your vacation won’t be put on hold by summer rain showers. The entire property sits alongside Battle Creek, so no matter what spot you set up camp in, you’ll have splendid views of the creek and the wildlife that frequent it.

If camping isn’t your style, Kemp’s Kamp will still have the perfect place for you. They have several styles of cabins available, from basic sleepers to fully furnished homes-away-from-home. Many also have front porches that look out over the heated pool, or into the beautiful Black Hills National Forest. The owners furnished the cabins with log furniture and cozy decor that will make you feel you’re at summer camp. And really, who’s to say you aren’t?

No matter where you choose to rest your head, Kemp’s Kamp will make sure you’re comfortable. It’s not the only thing that makes them great, however. While you stay you can bask in the sun next to their 20’ x 40’ heated pool they keep at a pleasant 82 degrees. There are clean laundry facilities on site so you can enjoy the outdoors without taking it with you when you head into Keystone for lunch. If you’re camping, they also have impeccable shower houses for use during your stay. If you have any train enthusiasts in your group, Kemp’s Kamp also has a fun bonus: front-row seats to the 1880s Train! You can watch one of the few passenger steam trains in the country from the comfort of your front porch several times a day.

Keystone is the perfect place to make monumental memories, and Kemp’s Kamp is an excellent place to call home while you’re here. Since the original owners opened their doors in the 1950s the hospitality found here has kept families coming back year after year. We guarantee after you stay at this cozy Keystone lodging once, you’ll likely find that you become a regular, too.
